- Rope Skipping:  Just jump!!!


There are manny benefits of jumping rope:

Rope training will improve your strength and flexiblity of your feet and your ankles.

It will improve your coordination.

It also improves your cardiovascular health and your bone density.

How to start:

Train on a flat surface or a concrete floor. There should be nothing in the way.

Take a lightweight plastic rope. 

In order to adjust it:   

Stand on the middle of the rope and hold the handles at waist height. 

Or adjust accordingly.

The rope should rotate smoothly and if you want: fast.

So:   a handle is necessary.   

When you jump:

Do small circles with your wrists.

Look straight ahead.

- Have a morning routine
 

Do some training in the morning. Train your mobility. And if you do have time train also your strength or your endurance. Or use a swimming pool on the way to your work.

For many people it is a good way (in the long run) to exercise in the morning - because in the morning there are normally no urgent dates etc. - The longer the day, more "problems" will come up.

The main thing is:  Your morning training should be regularly - and not "hard" or "exhausting" or "intense". 

Drink some (warm) water or tea (or both).

If you want to have a breakfast eat something healthy.

Take your time to start your day

Have a look at your agenda. Stay focused. 

Do not rush in the day. 

First things first.

- Train and improve your mobility
 

That´s for sure:  If you don´t train your mobility you will lose it. 

So use mobility exercises, use them even daily.

Do some joint mobility work (this means:  joint rotations) and use dynamic (before sports) and static (after sports) stretches.  

Train every body part.

- Train and challenge your muscles
 

Use Resistance training and strength training.

Do it at least two times a week.

Use complete and whole body movements. 

After a strength training session your body is in a rebuilding process for about two days or so.

This process requires an extra energy boost: So eat healthy and take (natural) protein.  (You don´t need to buy protein powder.....)

- Plan your meals ahead

Plan your meals ahead for the entire week. Make a list. 

Do your shopping so, that you have everything at your house - especially healthy food. 

Do "one big, healthy and necessary shopping tour" in a week. 

Do not buy sweets etc. at this shopping tour. If you want some sweets etc:  Buy them extra. 

And don´t forget: You need protein at every meal - this means:  also for the breakfast. Plan it.

- Make movement a part of your life  

This means i.e.: Walk a lot. Use the bike. Exercise in the office 5 to 6 times a day. But keep it short and simple. Just do 2 exercises: One for the body tension and one for your mobility. It takes you altogether 3 - 5 minutes.
